Day 01 U.S.A. --> Beijing

Depart from U.S.A. to China's Capital -- Beijing. Cross the International Date Line en route and lose one day.

 

Day 02 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the dynamic capital of the People's Republic of China. Once the imperial city of Mongol. Ming and Manchu emperors, Beijing today is still extraordinarily rich in historical sites and cultural relics. After clearing government formalities, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 03 Beijing (HB, L, D)

This morning, walk in Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and visit the Imperial Palace (Gugong), the once Forbidden City, with its over 9,000 elaborately carved and colorfully painted rooms, gardens, theaters, temples and exhibition galleries that was the home of China's emperors for almost 500 years, a testament of imperial China's splendor and lavishness. In the afternoon, visit the scenic grounds of the Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), whose apartments feature jewel-encrusted furniture and precious objects. Enjoy one of China's three greatest gardens. Tonight, enjoy the world renowned Peking Duck Feast.

Day 04 Beijing (HB, L, D)

Today, visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the greatest fortification on human history built to prevent invasion by foreign barbarians -- the magnificent Great Wall. It is the only human construction that astronauts could recognize with the naked eye. Walk on this "Wall of 10,000 Miles which took 10 years and more than a million labors to build, and look out from the highest point, at the fort at Bada Hill, from where enemy attacks were signaled to the capital by beacon fires. In the afternoon, visit the imperial tombs of the Ming Dynasty, where thirteen of the 16 Ming emperors are buried. Tonight attend the performance of an acrobatic show.

Day 05 Beijing --> Xi'an (HB, L, D)

This morning, visit the magnificent temple of Heaven, where Ming and Qing emperors prayed to heaven for a good harvest. Fly to fly to Chinaancient capital of China-Chang'an (now Xi'an), rich in historical sites.  During the Tang Dynasty, Chang'an was the worlds largest city, and was also the starting point of the Silk Road.  Imperial Dumpling Banquet Dinner is served tonight.

Day 06 Xi'an (HB, L, D)

After breakfast, we will visit the Army of Terracotta Warriors, over 7,000 life-sized figures, in the subterranean funeral vault of Qin Shi Huang.  On the way back to the city see Hot Springs of Huaqing.  This is where, during the Tang Dynasty, the most famous imperial concubine of China, Yang Guifei, bathed.  In the evening, attend the performance of Tang Dynasty Dance show.

Day 07 Xi'an --> Guilin (HB, L, D)

Today, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower, the ancient City Wall and Provincial History Museum.  Later, fly to Guilin, whose unusual landscape looks like scroll after scroll of Chinese painting.

Day 08 Guilin (HB, L, D)

According to experienced Chinese travelers, f the beauty of Guilin landscape is the best in the world, then the beauty of Yangshuo landscape is the best in Guilin.?After breakfast, board the cruise down the Li River with Yangshuo at the end of the journey. Get the feeling of traveling within a Chinese painting and leisurely gather a lasting impression of the varied landscape as described by the Tang scholar and writer Han Yu, he River is like a green silk belt, and the hills are like turquoise jade hairpins.?

Day 09 Guilin --> Chongqing (HB, L, D)  

This morning, visit Elephant Trunk Hill and the astonishingly beautiful limestone wonder of Reed Flute Cave.  After lunch, fly to Chongqing, board the deluxe Yangtze River Cruise and start the Three Gorges Tour.

Day 10 Three Gorges (HB, L, D)  

Today, visit Shibaozhai, a 12-story high, wood, red pavilion built against protruding 220-meter rectangular rock with sheer cliffs on the north bank of the Yangtze River.

Day 11 Three Gorges (HB, L, D)

Cruise through Wu Gorges, known for its deep valley and quiet beauty.  Then take a wooden sampan trip drifting along the Shengnong Stream and treacherous gorges for the breathtaking scenery of lush pine and translucent water, and the spectacular sights like ancient plank roads, ancient cave coffins, aqueous caves, rainbow fountain and rare animals like macaques and mandarin ducks.  It is also perfect to experience the culture of the Tujia tribe.

Day 12 Yichang --> Wuhan (HB, L, D)

This morning, disembark the cruise ship in Yichang and drive to Wuhan.  Visit the Yellow Crane Tower, Dong Hu and Guiyuan Temple.

Day 13 Wuhan -->Shanghai (HB, L, D)

This morning, fly to China's premier business center -- Shanghai.  Visit the 16th century Garden of Joy (Yu Garden) with its zigzagging bridges and Jade Buddha Temple.

Day 14 Shanghai (HB)

Enjoy the free time for shopping.

Day 15 Shanghai --> U.S.A. (HB)
